Opportunities for YOU

Whether you are an experienced gardener or have never sown a seed in your life we would love to hear from you and have you involved. No experience is necessary and all tools, support and guidance will be provided.

What can I do?

Over time there will be an enormous range of tasks you can get involved in. Below are a number of different examples.
• Practical work.
• Lighter work such as planting seedlings or watering plants
• Share your advice and experience of growing and allotments
• Writing articles for promotional purposes
• And much much more. If you can think of something you would like to do or have a particular skill you could bring then please don’t hide it.

How much time do I have to give?

As little or as much as you would like and as often as you would like. Volunteers are crucial to this long term project and we are happy to work with your availability and commitment. Any time you are willing to give will help make a difference.

What do I get out of it?

A sense of pride and achievement, you can learn new skills, meet new people and importantly, contribute to your communities smallholding.

But I’ve never done anything like this before……

It honestly doesn’t matter. The whole idea of the project is to bring the community together and experience growing your own food. There are no restrictions on age, ability or experience of our volunteers, in fact families from toddlers to great grand parents are welcome.

How do I get involved?

Email pm@ – we would be very excited to hear from you and will be happy to talk things through – don’t panic you are not tied to anything if you make contact with us!

* volunteers who work with vulnerable adults and young people will be asked to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
